Today we are excited to host the Indiana University Sustainability class to the farm. We are going to show some of our practices and also do some hands-on activities to demonstrate the impact that we are making for example:

  • Water filtration - water quality before and after our filtration ponds and wetlands
  • Soil health - get our shovels out and dig in the fields and in the woods. We will show how the fields actually have better soil quality than the woods due to regenerative agriculture practices
  • Composting - we are building our first ever Johnson-Su bioreactor which will produce healthy fungal compost for our fields

Should be a great day of discussion and collaboration with the students. Bouncing ideas off of them while demonstrating some "real world" applications has been a great partnership over the years.
