Doesn’t just roll off the tongue does it?  This is a new crossbred sorghum/sudan that has some really cool traits: low growing point, high digestibility, super quick regrowth. So, this is the leading candidate for the grass we plant after we harvest ryegrass in late May. We can plant it June 1 and start grazing by July 4. Then continually rotate the cattle onto new swaths and have very high energy grass for them to eat through early October. We are going to experiment with this type of grass as a replacement for corn silage to maintain marbling. Should be really interesting…. at least to me.
