Ribbon Cutting

We had a great ribbon cutting event on Wednesday this week to celebrate the opening of our new facility with Sander Processing. We will continue to have grand opening celebrations tomorrow at our facility to allow community members to come check out our new facility and Sander Processing's retail front.

Our relationship with Sander Processing has grown over the past 15+ years. In 2003 we brought in our first beef to their family's butcher shop in Celestine. We began using folding tables in their cooler in the evenings to box the meat that we would deliver to customers. As we outgrew that setup, Sander Processing built an addition onto their building that we rented from them. As we continued to grow, our order fulfillment area became too small and Sander Processing became limited on the butchering capacity at Celestine to keep up with not only our meat but also other custom meat processing. We decided it made sense for us to look for a new spot to build a processing facility with a larger order fulfillment area for us connected to it. We found a spot in St. Anthony (~5 min from the farm) and began construction on two buildings, connected via a hallway, to give us the appropriate space to work and continue to grow. Sander Processing will continue to operate the Celestine location (only about 10 min away) to do their custom processing, deer processing, etc. Sander Processing will also offer a retail front at both the St. Anthony and Celestine locations.

We are always happy to give tours of our farm and processing facility, if you would like to come visit - please let us know!
